Dr. Peter Hwee

Dr. Peter Hwee passed away on May 22, 2026, in his 79th year. He is survived by his son, Nathan, and his wife Jillian, as well as his beloved grandchildren, Violet and Sullivan. He was predeceased by his parents, Kauk Lain Hwee and Shwe Heng Hwee, and his brother, Tuck Sein Hwee. He will be lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, David and his wife Kyin, Wendy and her husband Henry, Helen and her husband Ivan, and Douglas and his wife Moy Yarn, as well as his many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his former wife of 27 years, Pam. Born on October 11, 1947, in Yangon, Myanmar, Peter was a highly respected family physician in Kitchener, Ontario, for nearly forty years. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fox Hollow Retirement Residence for their compassionate care and support during the last four years of Peter's life. Cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario in memory of Peter.
