Dr. David KEAST
Dr. David Keast died peacefully with his family at University Hospital on August 19, 2026, one day before his 81st birthday. Born in 1945 in London, Ontario, he lived there his entire life. He attended Beck Secondary School, earned a master’s degree in chemistry from Western University, and completed Teachers' College before teaching chemistry at Montcalm Secondary School for eleven years. He later studied medicine at Queen’s University, graduating in 1985, and founded a family practice that served patients for twenty‑five years before focusing on chronic wound management. He served as Medical Director of the Outpatient Chronic Wound Management Clinic at Parkwood Institute and was active in teaching, publishing, and mentoring colleagues. He was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Ruth Keast, and his younger sister Deborah Lucy. He is survived by his wife Heather, his son Matthew and grandchildren Jordan and Makenna, his daughter Erin and granddaughter Maya, his niece Kristin, her husband Ryan Ball and their children Ethan and Kyle, as well as his brother‑in‑law Paul Ross, Paul’s wife Ruth Mercer Ross, their daughter Jennifer, her husband Mark McDougall, and their children Charles and William. Cremation has taken place, and family and friends may visit as arranged.
