Donna GLEESON

Donna Marie Gleeson passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, at the age of 91, surrounded by her family at Muskoka Algonquin Health Care in Bracebridge, Ontario. Born on March 6, 1935, in London, Ontario, she was the daughter of Bill and Geraldine Farquharson. Donna was a dedicated teacher and coach in the London Catholic School System for 38 years, notably at St. Michael Elementary School. She was the beloved wife of the late Al Gleeson, who served as London's mayor from 1979 to 1985. Together, they had three children: Paul, married to Anita, Michael, who passed away in 2003, and Brian, married to Claudia. Donna is survived by her children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. She was a member of St. John the Divine parish since its establishment and an active member of its Catholic Women's League. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Divine Catholic Church in London on June 26, followed by a luncheon.
