Basil Cameron Sutton

Basil Cameron Sutton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at the age of 93, with his family by his side at Chartwell Riverside Retirement Residence, London, Ontario. Born on October 31, 1932, to W. Cameron and Olive (Gilbert) Sutton on the farm in Talbotville. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Betty (Brunt) Sutton (2020), and son Kevin Sutton (2006). Basil is survived by his loving children, Alan (Debbie), Paul (Sandy), and Maryanne Kjemtrup (John), and is proud grandfather of Micheal (April), Christopher (Lainey), Isaac (Val), Ian Kjemtrup, and great-grandfather to Ethan, Evelyn, Kennedy, and Danica. He worked as an operator for Ontario Hydro for 38 years. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road East, London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in Basil's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place, and private interment will be at a later date.
