Arlete Albuquerque Abrantes

Arlete Albuquerque Abrantes of London, Ontario, passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on January 12, 1946, she was the beloved wife of Antonio and a devoted mother to her children, Filipe (Rosell) and Sandy (Frank). Arlete cherished her grandchildren, Jasmina (Eric), Sophia (Brody), Roque, Viviana, and Hugo, as well as her great-grandchildren, Natalia, Dante, and Lena. She is survived by her sister Fernanda (Alberto) and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends. Arlete was predeceased by her parents, Elvira De Jesus Albuquerque and Antonio Loureiro De Amaral. Visitation took place on September 1, 2026, at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service. A funeral Mass was held on September 2, 2026, at Holy Cross Santa Cruz, with entombment at St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the London Health Sciences Intensive Care Unit.
