Albert SCHACHOW

Albert Schachow of Strathroy, formerly of Rodney, Ontario, died peacefully at Country Terrace Nursing Home in Komoka on August 21, 2026, at the age of 87. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Schachow (2004), his mother Erna Schachow (2004), his father Alexander Schachow (1991), his brother Richard Schachow (1995), and his grandson Albert Schachow (2022). He is survived by four daughters—Janet Smok (Bogie), Erna Corr, Wilhemina Corr (Paul), and Margaret Ellen (Dave)—and their families; brothers Bill (with wife Louise) and Helmut (with wife Betty); grandchildren Tasha, James, Chad, Brandon, Rachel, Stephanie, Ryan, Kelsey, and Devin; and numerous great‑grandchildren. Visitation will be held on September 5, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Denning's of Strathroy, with a reception thereafter. Interment is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Rodney Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be directed to the Ronald MacDonald House.
