Shirley Ann Longland

Shirley Ann Longland (Brindley) passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on August 30, 2026, at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Longland (1997), and her children, Tim (1970), Rob Gillett (2018), Bonnie Masciotra (2024), and son-in-law Arnie Sylvestre (2000). Shirley was the second daughter of the late Joseph (1968) and Betty (2004) Brindley. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy Sylvestre, Rick and Dorothy Gillett, Nicole and Dave Girard, and son-in-law Tony Masciotra, along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she affectionately called her 'Bonus Treasures.' A dedicated employee of H. J. Heinz for 35 years, Shirley enjoyed decorating for the seasons, especially Christmas, and cherished family gatherings, including canning tomato sauce. The family expresses gratitude for the compassionate care provided by Dr. Kaufman, Dr. Hamm, and the staff at T2B Palliative Care Unit at HDGH Prince Road. Shirley's legacy of love and devotion will be cherished by all who knew her.
