Elmer Ernest Neil GARRETT
Elmer Ernest Neil Garrett passed away at Fairhaven Home, Peterborough, on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Marie Garrett. Elmer was a loving father of Charlene Caza and her husband Ross, and David Garrett and his wife Susan. He was a dear grandfather of Chrissy, Kathleen, Kirk, Kelly, Corey, Julie, and Adam, and a great-grandfather of Claire, Ella, Anna, Blake, Rylee, Charlie, Bailey, Brody, Cloe, Violet, Jax, Paisley, Cash, Isabella, and Scarlett. Elmer is survived by his sisters, Evelyn MacNaughton, Mary Hall, and Joyce King and her husband John, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Edna Garrett, brother Laverne Lane, and brother-in-law Charlie Hall. The family would like to thank the Riverside Four staff for their compassion towards Elmer. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Hendren Funeral Homes, Lakefield Chapel, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the Heritage Room of the Funeral Home. A private family interment will take place at Lakefield Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Young's Point United Church, Fairhaven Foundation, or the P.R.H.C. Foundation as expressions of sympathy.
