Helga Froese-Rahn (nee Reimer)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helga Froese-Rahn (nee Reimer) of Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, who departed this life on August 30, 2026, at the age of 88. Helga was born on October 26, 1937. She was predeceased by her husbands, Jacob and Henry Rahn; her brother Gerhard; her sister-in-law Ingrid Reimer; and her daughter-in-law Helen. Helga is survived by her children, Ed, Rick (Erika), and Debbie Peters (John), along with 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Visitation took place on September 3, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Niagara United Mennonite Church, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and a burial at the Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee or Radiant Care Pleasant Manor.
