William "Bill" Hess

William 'Bill' Hess passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Hess (nee Sandford), who predeceased him in 2025. Bill is survived by his children, Cheryl (Raymond) Weishar, Dianne (Kevin) Wickens, Patricia (Karl) Tera, and Paula (James) Hehn. He was a cherished Papa to Mitchell (Taylor), Rose (Nick), Tyler (Abbi), Michael (Marissa), Bradley (Kelsey), Allison, Stephanie (Oisin), Joshua (Ashley), William, and Megan, and a proud Papa 2 of Charlotte, Theodore, Carter, and Jase. Bill is also survived by his brother, Doug (Gerri), and sisters-in-law, Pat and Ginny, and brothers-in-law, Peter and Steve, as well as many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Catherine, brothers, Henry and Frank, sisters, Joan and Connie, sister-in-law, Marybeth, and nephews, Jeremy and Danny. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00PM - 5:00PM on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home. Prayers will be offered at 4:30PM on Sunday, and a Mass will be held at St. Anthony Daniel RC Church on Monday, June 8, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a reception in the Parish Life Centre and a private interment at Parkview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Anthony Daniel Parish, Tiny Home Take Out, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
