Wayne McNabb

Wayne McNabb passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at the age of 91, at WRHN @ Queens Blvd, surrounded by the love of his family. Born and raised in Owen Sound, he moved to Kitchener in 1953 and began a long and dedicated career at B&W Heat Treating. In 1963, Wayne married Margaret, with whom he would have celebrated 63 years of marriage this May. He was the beloved husband and friend of Margaret. Loving father of Kelly Sheridan and Jenny McNabb-Dunlop, he was cherished by his grandchildren Tayler, Kaylin, Haiden Sheridan, Hayley, Arleigh Hertner, and Logan Dunlop, and great-grandchildren Ally, Kamilla, and Roman. He was also a dear brother to Glenn and Joan Govier, and sister-in-law Linda McNabb. Wayne was predeceased by his parents, James and Gladys; his infant son, James Wayne; brothers Lyle, Elgin, and Wilfred; and in-laws Frank and Mary Cain, Audrey Elliot, Jane Thompson, Frank Cain, Hewitson Cain, Cathy Parker, Vic Cain, Aileen Wheildon, and Brownlee Cain. Following cremation, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
