Waldemar SCHOLTES
Waldemar Scholtes passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 10, 1944, in Reichenberg, Czechoslovakia, he was predeceased by his parents, Walter Scholtes and Rosina, née Tinnes, brother Dietmar, sister-in-law Lenie Scholtes, brother-in-law Rudi Droefke, sister Hildegard Lindschinger, niece Ingrid Scholtes, and nephew Robert's son, Logan Droefke. He is survived by his wife, Pieternella Scholtes, sons Matthias and Marcus, and their spouses, Erika and Sharon, grand-children Tristan and Lana, and his sister Waldtraut Droefke, brothers-in-law Werner Lindschinger and Jack Bolle, and their spouses, Marilyn and Brenda. Waldemar Scholtes was a lifelong member of the Transylvania Club and Bethel Lutheran Church. As a musician, he performed with various bands, conducted the BBM concert band, and was Director of Music for Bethel Lutheran Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kitchener. He was also a teacher and professor, and proprietor of Scholtes Editions, a publishing venture for his family's musical compositions and arrangements.
