Verda Marie Eckensviller
Verda Marie Eckensviller, born on January 1, 1923, in Golden Valley, Ontario, passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 103. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Debbie (Claire) and Charlene (Ken), as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael), Carey (Paul), Lisa (Geoff), Christine (Shane), and Kelly (Ben). She was a proud great-grandmother to Jack, Kevin, Michael, Maxwell, Madison, Ella, Mia, Quinton, Russell, and the late Wesley (2016). Verda is also survived by her aunt, Donald Parolin. She was predeceased by her husband, Angus (1997); parents, Melvin and Clara Cameron; and sister, Ruth Parolin. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, June 18th from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. A reception will follow, and burial will take place at Memory Gardens, Breslau, ON, at 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lions Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs and the WRHN Foundation would be appreciated.
