Steve Schatz

Steve Schatz Sr. passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 13, 2026, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Maria, and loving father of Steve, Ron, Rick, Tina Rich, and Gerry. He was the cherished Oti of Amy, Adam, Michael, Tyler, Hailey, Liam, and Justin, and will be fondly remembered by his nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Katharina Tinnes, and Susanna Schuster, and brother-in-law of Emma Finster. Steve was predeceased by his brothers-in-law, George, John, and Traugott Emrich. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, on Thursday, June 18, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM. A funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday.
