Roland "Roly" REES

Roland 'Roly' Rees passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 94. He was the beloved husband of Jean 'Elaine' (née Norman) for 69 years. Roly was also the cherished brother of Joseph Rees and the loving uncle of Joseph, Rick, Terry, and Ginny. He leaves behind his many great nieces and nephews. Roly graduated from the Radio College of Canada and worked for various organizations, including IBM from 1957 to 1991. He was a charter member of Forest Hill United Church and a member of several clubs, including the K-W Retired Business and Professional Men's Club and the K-W Probus Club. Roly also volunteered for the City of Kitchener for 10 years. He was a supporter of the symphony and an avid Blue Jays fan. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Roly's life will be held in March to allow all the family to gather. His family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home on Friday, March 6, 2026, and Saturday, March 7, 2026. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, followed by a reception.
