Parania SKRYPEC

Parania Skrypec passed away peacefully at Forest Heights Long-Term Care on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the age of 107. She was survived by her son Gerry, daughter Sonia Adlys, son-in-law Dennis Rioux, and daughter-in-law Ilona. She was a loved grandmother to Gerry, Denise, Steve, James, Kelly, David, Tina, Bernie, and Melissa, and a great-grandmother to Deacon, Taylor, Sam, Charlie, Jessica, Amanda, Christian, Megan, Jacob, Bijou, John, and Arthur. Parania was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, her son Don, her daughter Olga Rioux, and son-in-law Bernie Adlys. Born in Poland with Ukrainian roots, she was a survivor of WWII and immigrated to Canada with her two daughters to join her husband in Quebec, later settling in Kitchener. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Forest Heights LTC 3rd floor for their compassionate care and to the staff at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home for their assistance. Parania was laid to rest at Parkview Cemetery during a private family service. In lieu of flowers, condolences for the family or donations to the Canadian Centre for Child Protection may be arranged through the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home.
