Olga DARK

Olga Dark (nee Howe) passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 97. Born in 1928, Olga immigrated to Canada with her family in 1948. She met and fell in love with Rex William Dark, whom she married in 1949, and they shared a love of gardening and crafting. Rex predeceased her in 2005. Olga is also predeceased by her parents, brother, Cy, and sister, Peggy. She was a working mom who held various roles, including Secretary-Treasurer of the Sunnyside Home and the Region's first employee at the Waterloo County Area Planning Board. In her later years, she resided at Trinity Village Care Home, where she received wonderful care and enjoyed various programs. Olga will be deeply missed by her daughter, Heather (Iain Wright), and grandson, Sandy. A Celebration of Life will be held at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St., S., Kitchener, on February 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Trinity Village Care Home.
