Nancy "Nance" Marie Sokolowski (neé Bechard)

Nancy 'Nance' Marie Sokolowski, neé Bechard, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Chatham to Victor and Jean Bechard, she was a long-time resident of Kitchener. Nancy is survived by her husband, John, and her daughters, Rhonda, Jackie, and Reneé. She was a proud grandmother to Tyler, Trevor, Jessica, Tristian, Riley, and Caleb, and great-grandmother to Aiden and Logan. She is also survived by her siblings, Mary, Judi, Jeff, Jim, and Liz. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, her sister Carol, her brother Bob, her grandson Joshua, and her dogs Paddy and Nikki. The family thanks the ICU staff at Grand River Hospital for their care. Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Henry Walser Funeral Home. Donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society would be appreciated.
