Muriel Irene McCabe (nee MacRae)

Muriel Irene McCabe, nee MacRae, passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband, George Maurice McCabe, in 2013, and her son, Michael McCabe, in 2021, as well as her parents, John Farquhar MacRae and Evelyn Todd MacRae, and her brothers, Colin, Gary, and John. Muriel is survived by her daughters, Debbie and Valerie, and their spouses, including Jonathan. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristin, Chad, Jessica, Avalon, and their spouses, including Luke, Daniella, and Shannon, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Makayla, Maya, Elyse, Mateo, Isabella, Caroline, Lachlan, and her great-great-granddaughter, Lenni. Additionally, she is survived by her brother, Gale MacRae. Muriel was a devoted homemaker who lived in various locations throughout Canada and Europe with her family. She was an active member of her community, participating in volunteer work and church socials. Muriel was a lifelong member of the United Church and joined Parkminster Church in Waterloo after moving to the area. The family is grateful for the care provided by the staff of Winston Park LTC.
