Moutieh Nicolas Kandalaft

Moutieh Nicolas Kandalaft passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, May 8, 2026, in his 94th year. He was born in Syria where he met his wife, Yvonne Haddad, with whom he shared 53 happy years before her passing in December 2005. Moutieh is survived by his brother, Maurice, and predeceased by his wife, Yvonne; brothers, Nadeem and Lutfi; sister, Nadeema; and grandchild, Hani. He will be deeply missed by his three daughters, Hanan Saliba, Ghada Kandalaft, and Rana Moufti, as well as eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre on Tuesday, May 12th. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 13th from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m., preceded by a visitation at 10AM. Burial will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery, followed by a reception at Westmount at 1 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Mennonite Central Committee.
