Michael "Mike" MCKELVIE

Michael 'Mike' McKelvie passed away unexpectedly on July 29, 2026, at the age of 82. He is now reunited with his wife Mary, who predeceased him in 2023. Mike was a devoted father to John, Kelly, and Patrick, and a loving grandpa to Victoria, Kylie, Catherine, Hayden, Rebecca, Stephen, Elizabeth, and Liam. He is also survived by his sister Christine Morton. Mike was predeceased by his parents Henry and Helene, sister Jinny, brothers Douglas and Father Pat McKelvie, and brother-in-law Ron. A proud board member of the Kitchener Minor Hockey Association, Mike enjoyed giving back to the community and supporting young players. He worked as a carpenter at St. Mary's Hospital for many years and was passionate about woodworking in his spare time. Friends and relatives may visit the Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre on August 6, 2026, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on August 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by cremation. Mike will be laid to rest at Williamsburg Cemetery with his wife Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
