Melvin "Mel" George LININGTON

Melvin 'Mel' George Linington passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 87, at Freeport hospital after a short battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his cherished wife, Mary, in 2017. Mel is lovingly remembered by his children, Michael and John, and his kind father-in-law to Arlette. He is also adored by his grandchildren, Marina, Andrew, and Ivy. Mel was a caring brother to Sharon and was predeceased by his siblings, Earl, Walter, Barb, Beverly, Hazel, Joyce, and Winnie. A celebration of Mel's life will take place at Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre, 1001 Ottawa St. S., Kitchener on Saturday, May 30th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with remembrances occurring at 1:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Ray of Hope.
