Mary Karidas

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Karidas of Kitchener, Ontario, who departed this life on October 20, 2026, at the age of 89. Mary was born on June 29, 1937. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Karidas; her sister, Anne Lintzeris (Angelo); and her parents, Petrina Bura and Paul Bura. Mary is survived by her brother, Nick Bura; her sons, Tom Karidas and Paul Karidas (Samira); her grandsons, Steven (Besa), John (Justina), and Steve; as well as her great-grandchildren, Keleece and Nora. Visitation took place on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd., located at 507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5. A prayer service was held that same evening at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The funeral service occurred on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, situated at 527 Bridgeport Rd, Kitchener, ON N2K1N6. Following the service, a burial took place at 3:30 PM at Woodland Cemetery, located at 119 Arlington Blvd, Kitchener, ON N2A2G8. A reception was held at 4:00 PM on the same day at 615 Davenport Rd, Waterloo, ON N2V2G2. Donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church.
