Lydia Weimer

Lydia Weimer passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the age of 85. She was the beloved daughter of the late Johann and Frieda Weimer. Lydia is survived by her sister Margaret Nauman (Neil) and sister-in-law Arlene Weimer. She was a loving aunt of Beverly (Rick), Deborah (Mike), Sarah (Lorne), Krista, and Jonathan (Dawn), and a cherished great-aunt of Katy (Adam), Laura (Ben), Nate, Darcy, Kylie, and Quinn. Lydia was predeceased by her brother Eric. She had a thriving career as an administrative assistant to the President of Budd Automotive and Woodbridge Foam, and was President of the local chapter of the National Secretaries Association. Lydia was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and active in the ladies retreats, Vacation Bible School and the triple trio. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave., Kitchener. Funeral Service will take place following the visitation, at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall. Interment at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, 243 Weber St. E., Kitchener. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Canadian Lutheran World Relief or Holy Cross Lutheran Church would be appreciated by the family.
