Leo Joseph Lavigne

Leo Joseph Lavigne passed away at St. Mary's hospital on February 14, 2026, at the age of 91. He was a loving husband to his wife Shirley, who predeceased him in 2003, and a loving father to his six children, Leona Deter (Jake) of Ottawa, Linda Whittaker of Kitchener, Jayne Ferriss of Alberta, Julie Lavigne-Kolpean (Ken) of Bloomingdale, Larry Lavigne, who predeceased him in 2023, and Joan Calhoun, who predeceased him in 2026. He was also predeceased by his great-granddaughter, Izabella Deter, in 2018, and his siblings, Mary MacDonald, Rose Maruschak, Arnold Lavigne, and Margaret Lavigne. Leo was the proud Papa of 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is fondly remembered by the Riordon family, who played an important part in his upbringing.
