Laurie Delanne Scott

Laurie Delanne Scott of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, at the Hospice of Waterloo Region, at the age of 63, with her son Alex by her side after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 22, 1962, she was the beloved daughter of Helen and the late Delford Neff (2013). Laurie is survived by her brother Stephen (Linda) and her nephew, Gavin Neff. A dedicated professional in the optical field, she was known for her exceptional service and received multiple awards for her commitment to her clients. Above all, her greatest joy was being a mother to Alex. Laurie enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time by the water. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or ceremony. The family appreciates the care provided by the medical teams and volunteers at WRHN and the Hospice of Waterloo Region. Donations in her memory may be made to the WRHN Foundation or the Hospice of Waterloo Region.
