Josephine M. OSTAPCHUK

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Josephine "Jo" Margaret Ostapchuk (Rucheski) on August 28, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Ostapchuk and a devoted mother to her daughters, Dianne Rouleau (Rob Hannah) and Kathy Mackowski (Robert). Josephine was a proud grandmother to Jessica Rouleau (Jeroen van Heumen), Andrew Mackowski (Stephanie Baird), Kristen Hatesohl (Steven), and Justin Rouleau (Beth Martin), and a cherished great-grandmother to Mackenzie, Chloe, Reilly, Brinley, Louis, Brooks, and Bryson. Born on June 18, 1934, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Nettie (née Chiplak) and Joseph Rucheski, she was known for her elegance, strength, and generosity. Josephine's family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was evident in all she did. A passionate swimmer in her youth, she embraced life fully, always encouraging others to act on their dreams. Her spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
