Joanne Louise Currie

Joanne Louise Currie (nee Weldon) passed away on May 09, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on March 02, 1941, she was the devoted loving wife to Allen Currie for 66 years. She was a loving mother to Cindy Currie, Sharon Jones (Gerry Cowan), Joseph Currie (Doris) and Norman Currie (Lessli Nightingale). Joanne was a much loved grandmother to 11, Great grandmother to 28 and Great Great grandmother to 2. She was a loving sister to Fred Weldon, Donald Weldon, Margeurite Glamoclija, Susanne Bojcic, Peggy Campion (Patrick), Vicki Sheppard (Randy), David Weldon, Nancy Goodfellow (Daniel) and Donna Ranton. Joanne was predeceased by her parents Fred Weldon and Louise Donaldson, Infant son Kenneth 1965, Brother James Weldon, grandsons Evan Jones and Jack Seher. Cremation has taken place and arrangements are entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home. A Celebration of Joanne's Life will be at a later date, details to follow. The family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Society in expressions of sympathy.
