Jean Marilyn McIlwraith

Jean Marilyn McIlwraith passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Sunnyside LTC Home, one day shy of her 88th birthday, at the age of 87. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald 'Pete' McIlwraith, predeceased in 2014, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Jean was the adored mother of Heather Robinet, Paul McIlwraith, and Allison McIlwraith, and cherished nana to Rebecca, Rachel, Samantha, Leah, Scott, Tess, D.J., Larissa, and Tatum. She is also missed by her great-grandchildren: Ezra, Levi, Beau, Forrest, Dallas, Brooks, Mac, Elijah, Annie, Nasir, Sami, Rayna, and Levi. Jean was the dearly beloved sister of David Robertson and was fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Elsie Robertson, and her sister, Helen Barclay. Jean dedicated her life to caring for others through her career as an E.R. nurse at Guelph General Hospital and St. Mary's General Hospital. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home.
