Ion Banica

Ion Banica of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 8, 1936, Ion was surrounded by family and friends throughout his life. He is remembered fondly by his parents, Serbana and Tanase Banica, and his brother George, along with other cherished family members. Visitation took place on September 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd., followed by a wake at 7:30 PM. A funeral service will be held on September 19, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church, with burial to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery at 11:15 AM.
