Harold ASSMAN

Harold Assman passed away on February 11, 2026, at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of Orma Assman for 70 years. Harold is survived by his children, Gord and Cordell (Judy), and his grandchildren, Karla and Karen (Tyson). He was predeceased by his parents, Philip and Anna, and his brother, Elroy. Born in Saskatchewan, Harold moved to Ontario in 1956. He spent over 30 years working at BF Goodrich and later served as the president of the Steelworker Retirees. Harold was a devoted member of Reformation Lutheran Church, where he served on the council for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, playing curling and cards, and playing video games. He was known for his simple appreciation of life's pleasures, particularly his love of ice cream. Harold's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception.
