Gerhard Nikolai Hamm

Gerhard Nikolai Hamm passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria Hamm, and their children, Nikolai, Rudy, Henry, Peter, and Steve. Gerhard is also survived by 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, his brother-in-law Peter Bergen, Susanne Weibe, and his sister Frida. He was predeceased by his siblings Lena, Nikolai, and Heinrich. Born on April 23, 1937, in Schoensee, Ukraine, Gerhard immigrated to Canada in 1973 and worked at Schneiders for 25 years. He was a devoted member of KMB and Stanley Park Baptist Church. Gerhard's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home on July 13, 2026, followed by a funeral service and reception. Interment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Youth Unlimited (Lincoln) would be appreciated by the family.
