George Arnold Emery

George Arnold Emery passed away on April 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Born in November 1932, he was raised in Hamilton, Ontario, and worked in the sales industry in southern Ontario. He was a devoted volunteer firefighter for many years in Dundas, Ontario. George was the beloved husband and best friend of Susanne Emery, with whom he was married for over 26 years. He was the loving father of William Emery, Katherine Young, Linda Begenat, Sharon Stark, George Emery Jr, and Robin Cooper, and the loving father-in-law of Kirby, Angie, and Robert. George was the proud grandfather of Scott, Johnathen, Keith, Lori, Mistee, Nigel, Shane, Kristen, Lindsey, Heather, and Danny, and the proud great-grandfather of Clayton, Jonny, Jessica, Katie, Ethan, Holly, Ali, Anneke Talyn, Ryder, Xavier, and Rayne. He was also the proud great-great-grandfather of Danny. George was the cherished brother of Dennis, Clifford, and Ruth Buckley, all of whom he is survived by, except for his predeceased brothers Dennis and Clifford. He was the loving stepfather of Todd and step-grandfather of Easton. A Celebration of Life was held on April 5th with family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer society as expressions of sympathy.
