Franklin Henry Schatz (Frank)

Franklin Henry Schatz, also known as Frank, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at the age of 85, at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville. He is survived by his children Anita, married to Gary Crump, of Thornhill, and Bill, married to Emily, of Selkirk. Frank will also be missed by his grandchildren Melissa, Andrew, and Emma, his niece Mary, married to John Dzuibinski, and nephew James Brown, and their families. Additionally, he leaves behind his step-children Janette, married to Manfred Goertz, of Waterloo, Michael Koenig, married to Beverly, of New Hamburg, and Darryl Koenig of Cambridge, and their families. Frank was predeceased by his parents William Herbert and Edna, his sister Barbara, his first wife of 44 years, Frances, and his second wife Glennis. Frank's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, on Sunday, March 15, from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and on Monday, March 16, from 10-10:45 a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, at 11 a.m. followed by a reception. Interment will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
