Esther Ruth Jane Gawlik

Esther Ruth Jane Gawlik of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on October 15, 1933, Esther was a beloved member of her family and community. She was predeceased by her husband, Steve; her parents, Henry Herzog and Lena Reimert; her siblings, Gertrude Egerdeen, Heinz Herzog (Irene), and Guenther Herzog; as well as her niece, Shirley Egerdeen, and nephew, Doug Herzog. Esther is survived by her children, Christine, Stephen (Kimberley), and Patricia (Ken); her grandchildren, Kyle, Jayden, and Noah; her sister-in-law, Mary Robson (late Jack); and her nieces and nephews, Nancy De Caen (late John), Bob Egerdeen, Dave Herzog (Pat), and Debbie Herzog. Visitation took place on September 4, 2026, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, followed by a funeral service. Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthews Lutheran Church.
