Ernest Albert Kingston
Ernest Albert Kingston, also known as Ernie or Buddy, passed away on Sunday, May 10th, at Trinity Village Care Centre in Kitchener, at the age of 95. He was reunited with his beloved wife, Enorma, who predeceased him on November 6, 2024, after 74 years of marriage. Ernie was the loving father of Chris, Al, Rick, and the late Steve. He was also the proud grandfather of Kristi, Lindsay, Taylor, Alix, Connor, Brandon, Cameron, Victoria, Charlotte, and Joey, and delighted in his great-grandchildren: Kaleb, Riley, Madison, Ronnie, Sophie, Liam, Paige, Nolan, Reese, Hadley, Audrey, Ruth, Darcie, Zelda, Nora, Charlie, and Chloe. Born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, to Arthur Ernest Kingston and Agnes McNeilly Brown, Ernie lived most of his life in Kitchener, where he met his wife and raised his family. He was a dedicated member of the former Kitchener Police Department, serving honourably from 1952 until his retirement in 1987 as an Inspector with the Waterloo Regional Police Force. Ernie's family admired his loyalty, resilience, commitment to physical fitness, integrity, wit, courtesy, and honesty. He and Enorma set a beautiful example of love and commitment for their family.
