Elizabeth (Betty) Joyce BERLET

Elizabeth (Betty) Joyce Berlet passed away on February 13, 2026, in her 89th year. Born in 1936 to Alvy and Nellie Boyt in the St. Catharines area, she remained there until age seven when the family moved to the Dunnville community. Betty attended a rural public school and then Dunnville High School. She gained employment as a telephone switchboard operator for five years before marrying Carson Robins in 1955 and giving birth to their daughter, Linda, in 1956. Predeceased by her parents, sister, brother, first husband, and daughter. Survived by her sibling Jean Asher, stepsons Michael and Robert, nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Betty lived in the Sudbury area for 15 years, working at the Memorial Hospital and later at the KW hospital in Kitchener, where she retired in 2009. She was also a secretary/treasurer for the Canadian Council of the Blind-Ontario Division for 27 years and was deeply involved in her church. She loved her garden and cooking for her friends.
