Elaine Mary McMahon

Elaine Mary McMahon passed away surrounded by the love of her family on June 7, 2026, at the age of 82, at Hospice Waterloo. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Hugh, who predeceased her in 2021. Elaine was the loving mother of Dennis McMahon (Claudia), Linda Howard (Shaun), and Kevin McMahon (Lisa). She was a proud grandmother to Brody (Olivia), Riley, Haley (Adrian), Katie, Paige (Holly), Abby (Julia), Maverick (Sarah), and Tamara, and a great-grandmother to Finnleigh and Jack. Elaine is survived by her siblings Tony Foerster (Moira), Marilyn Lackner (late Dennis), Kathy Kelly (Kieran), and Rodney Foerster, as well as her sister-in-law Patty (late Terry). She was predeceased by her parents Clarence and Alma Foerster, siblings Shirley (late Sonny), Don (late Doreen), Bryan, and Keith, and Hugh's siblings Patrick, Gary (late Patricia), Brian, Clair, and Mike (late Maureen). Elaine will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and by Hugh's loving family, including Rose Hanley (Bernard), Lawrence (June), Ann McLeod (late Bill), Dorothy Evans (late Charlie), Frances Melchin (late Dale), Thomas (Noreen), and Colleen Rees (George). Elaine was a faithful member of St. Agnes Church in Waterloo. Her family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, and a Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at St. Agnes Catholic Church, followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery and a reception in the church hall.
