Eileen Hilda Dietrich

Eileen Hilda Dietrich passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital, at the age of 95. Born on December 15, 1930, in the St. Clements area, she was the daughter of Jack Eckert and Marianne (Koebel) Eckert. Eileen was the beloved wife of Oscar Dietrich, who predeceased her in 2011. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Patricia (Bill) Moynihan and Carol Gray (Kevin Falconer), and mother-in-law to Annabelle Dietrich. Eileen was also predeceased by her children, Michael, who passed away in 2001, and Gary, who passed away in 2012. She is survived by her three grandchildren, Ryan (Lori), Chad (Danielle), and Zach (Anna), and her two great-grandchildren, Helix and Vya. Eileen is also fondly remembered by her brother Edward and sisters-in-law Merita, Millie, and Carol. She was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Marianne Eckert, and her siblings: Betty Eckert; Mary (Bernard) Dietrich; Jim and Bob Eckert; and Jean (Jack) McColough. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener. A memorial service will be held in the chapel immediately following the visitation, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow. Interment at Memory Gardens will follow the reception. Cremation has taken place.
