Ed Girodat

Ed Girodat of Kitchener, Ontario, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 76. He was born on February 24, 1950. Ed is predeceased by his parents, Thelma and Patrick, his sister Philomina, his niece Carman, and his nephews, Michael and Robbie. He is survived by his wife, Janet Girodat (MacKenzie), and their children, Michelle Paleczny (Ron), James Girodat, and Alisha Paleczny (Larry). Ed is also remembered by his siblings, Mike Girodat (Marg), Rose Kieswetter (Bob), and Pauline Bogue, along with close friends Carol, Dennis Nafzinger, Jim and Sheree Drago, and Ron and Julie Hopkins. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Agnes Catholic Church, followed by burial at Parkview Cemetery. The family appreciates donations to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns Carmel of St Joseph and the Waterloo Knights of Columbus Toy Drive.
