Earl William Rayner

Earl William Rayner passed away on August 13, 2026, at the WRHN Midtown facility at the age of 91. He was the husband of Kathryn Rayner for 68 years and is survived by his children Jeff, Greg and his wife Liane, Guy and his wife Cathy, and Rodd. His grandchildren are Ryan (with Jen), Cassi (with Jay), Cody (with Jenny), Emily (with Niko), Jared (with Paige), Liam (with Denisa), and Logan, and he leaves eight great‑grandchildren. Earl is also survived by his siblings Eleanor and Stuart. He was predeceased by his parents Corinne and Leonard Rayner, his brothers Bob and Doug, and his sister Susan. An avid skier, Earl enjoyed the slopes at Chicopee Ski Hill and annual ski trips in British Columbia, Austria, and the United States, often sharing the experience with his grandchildren. He was known as the family handyman, assisting his sons with their projects. A private cremation has been completed, and a memorial service will be arranged at a later date per Kathryn's wishes. Funeral arrangements are with Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener.
