David John Willing

David John Willing passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 77, surrounded by his family at WRHN Midtown Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen, and their sons Jonathan, Sean, and Aaron, as well as his sister Carol Moyer, brother Mark, brother-in-law David Moore, and sister-in-law Michele Moore. David was also loved by his grandsons Miles, Hayden, and Benjamin, and his nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Irene, and his brother-in-law Jim. David spent his career in the fasteners business and enjoyed spending time with his family, particularly at hockey practices and in his backyard. A celebration of his life will be held on August 14, 2026, at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, followed by an informal gathering at a nearby pub. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony in recognition of David's love of music.
