Cornelius "Neil" Friesen

Cornelius 'Neil' Friesen passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Care Centre on June 26, 2026, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his wife Joan in 2024, his parents Jacob and Matilda Friesen, and 10 siblings. Neil is survived by his sister Jessie Dorscht, his children Linda and Robert Taylor and Paul and Cathy, his 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Neil had a long and varied career, working in construction for several companies including Frank Voisin Construction, Bramley Friesen Custom Homes, Witmer and Lazenby, XDG, and Dutch Boy Food Markets. He will be remembered for the house he built in Manheim. Neil enjoyed reading the paper, fishing, and spending time with his family. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Trinity Village and to Deborah and Dan, Randy, Bobby, Kim, neighbours, and friends. As per Neil's wishes, there will be no visitation or service, but a private family gathering will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Cards are available at the funeral home.
