Constance "Koni" (née Sagan) Palla (Formerly Splane)
Constance 'Koni' Palla (née Sagan, formerly Splane) passed away peacefully at WRHN @ Midtown on Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 79. She was the beloved mother of Rod and his wife Sharon, and proud grandma of Jaden (Chantelle), Alexa, Madison, and Cassidy. Koni was the dear sister of Robert Stanley Sagan (Mona) and Sherry Seivenpiper (Jerry), and was fondly remembered by her niece Reagan and nephew Jered. As a dedicated teacher with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, Koni inspired countless students. She was a lifelong artist who found joy in painting and crafting. In retirement, she enjoyed tending to her garden, reading, and cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, but her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her four beloved grandchildren. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5-8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2:30-3:15 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 3:30 PM, followed by a reception. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family and may be made at the funeral home or online directly through the charity's website.
