Christos Kiriakakis

Christos Kiriakakis passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 75. Born in Agios Dimitrios, Monemvasia, Greece, Christos immigrated to Canada where he met his wife Katrina and built a life together, establishing their Mr. Sub restaurants. He is survived by his beloved wife Katrina, devoted children Theodora and Demetrios, and proud grandchildren Riley, Mia, Demi, Niko, and Christos. Christos is also survived by his siblings Pitsa Kountouris and Angele Kiriakakis, as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and many friends. Family and friends will gather on Friday, August 21, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Henry Walser Funeral Home, where Trisagion prayers will begin at 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery and a reception at Golf's Steakhouse. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Waterloo Regional Health Network Foundation in support of patient care would be appreciated by the family.
