CATHERINE "KATHY" ROSE MATHIAS

Catherine 'Kathy' Rose Mathias passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, at the age of 87, at her son's home in Kitchener, Ontario, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ray Mathias, in 2021. Kathy is lovingly remembered by her son, Frank Mathias, and her daughter-in-law, Catherine Mathias, as well as her cherished grandsons, Josh and Eli. She was also predeceased by many of her brothers and sisters. Kathy is survived by her brothers, Alfred and Clifford, and will be lovingly remembered by generations of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the extended family she held close to her heart. Visitation will take place on May 27, 2026, from 10:00-11:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph, with interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. A celebration of Life will be announced to family and friends at a later date.
