Carol Ann Gogos (nee Piatkowski)
Carol Ann Gogos (nee Piatkowski) passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on February 14, 1941, Carol built a life centred on love—love for her family, her friends, and the many people fortunate enough to be part of her world. She was the youngest of six children and treasured being an aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Louis Piatkowski and Viola (Merkley), and by her siblings Reta, June, Dick, Harry, and Elinor, as well as her husband Tom, who passed away earlier this year. She leaves behind her daughters Maria Snelgrove (Chris) of Winnipeg, René Houston (Greg) of Mannheim, and Kathy Gogos (Randy Fahr) of Kitchener; her cherished grandchildren Amanda (Sean), Emily, Brooklyn, Reese, Karsten, and Russell; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Visitation will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, Kitchener, on Saturday, June 6, from 2:15-3:15 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 3:30 p.m. The service will be livestreamed. Carol will be buried at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo. In lieu of flowers, donations to Starling Community Services (formerly Lutherwood) in Carol's memory are appreciated.
