Betty Jane (nee Hartman) FORWELL

Betty Jane Forwell (nee Hartman) passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 91 on March 27, 2026. She was the loving Mom to Shelley Forwell (Jeff Kienapple), Tracy Schneider, and Scott (Kim) Forwell. She was the adored Gran to her seven grandchildren: Caroline (Andrew Kolper) and Leah Charbonneau; Tyler and Adam (Elli) Schneider; and Shayne, Wesley, and Jesse Forwell (Payton Tummon). She was also a Great Gran to Theo. Betty Jane was predeceased by her husband, Edward (2018), her parents Mary Louise and Alexander, her brother William Hartman, sisters Patsy Browne, Connie Gordon, Gloria Ottman, and Rosemary Woelfle. She is survived by her sister Lou Ann (John) Podmore. Born in St. Clements, Betty Jane lived in Kitchener for 65 years with her family. She was proud of her job at the Record, where she took classified ads for 30 years, and she and her husband Ed owned Forwell's Super Variety. Betty Jane will be remembered by her loved ones for her homemade macaroni and cheese and buttery Rice Krispies squares.
