Barry Collins

Barry Collins passed away on February 7, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on September 13, 1939, in Kitchener, he had a long and distinguished career, serving with the Canadian Armed Forces and the Ontario Provincial Police, and working with Canadian General Electric and its successors until his retirement in 2004. Predeceased by his first wife, Betty, in 1985, Barry is survived by his loving wife, Karon, and their children, Debby Agnew, Jeff, James, and Daryl, as well as his grandchildren, Jessica, Matthew, Michelle, Jacob, and Annika, and his great-granddaughter, Gemma. He will also be remembered for his love of woodworking and gardening, and for the companionship of his dogs, Meggie and Sammy. A memorial service will be held at the Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener on February 13, 2026, with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Guelph.
