Anna Falu

Anna Falu passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the age of 97, surrounded by family in Kitchener, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of the late Steve Falu, who died in 2023. Anna was the mother of Anna Marie Fougere, married to Mike Neugebauer, and Julia Margaret Vaughan, married to Paul. Her grandchildren were Dale Fougere (spouse Samantha), Holly Janssen (spouse William), Steven Vaughan (spouse Laura), and Ian Vaughan (spouse Lindsey). She was also the great‑grandmother of eight great‑grandchildren: Benjamin, Annabelle, Michael, Layla, Penelope, Dominic, Herbert and Dorothy. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Julianna Hackstul, she is survived by her sister Yolan. A private funeral service was held at Henry Walser Funeral Home in Kitchener, followed by interment at Williamsburg Cemetery. The family requests donations to a charity of the donor’s choice, either at the funeral home or online, and asks that callers inform the funeral home of online contributions.
